Airedale NHS Foundation Trust<\/a> has appointed Gleeds to oversee the Airedale Hospital project.<\/p>\nThe Trust employs more than 3,000 people for care around Yorkshire and East Lancashire.<\/p>\n
Airedale Hospital will provide further care for the community<\/h3>\n
The Airedale NHS Foundation Trust provides acute, elective, specialist, and community care for more than 200,000 people across both regions.<\/p>\n
Gleeds has been appointed to deliver a new hospital facility that is state-of-the-art, and will have associated amenities to help meet evolving patient needs. The hospital is being delivered as a part of the New Hospital Programme (NHP).<\/p>\n
Gleeds will therefore work with the Trust and representatives of the NHP, as well as a design team and contractors to deliver the hospital. The project will be more sustainable, building the new facility on the existing site and allowing as much care to continue as possible during construction.<\/p>\n
The existing hospital was built with Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete(RAAC), and so the replacement of the building is urgent. The project will utilise digital construction technologies, modern methods of construction.<\/p>\n
