Osprey have given the company a contract to deliver their new Rapid and Ultra Rapid Hub EV charging sites<\/h2>\n

Galliford Try Digital Infrastructure<\/a> has been given the EV infrastructure contract on behalf of Osprey Charging Network Ltd.<\/p>\n

The project for Osprey is located on Duke Street in Glasgow.<\/p>\n

The project consists of chargers and a canopy<\/h3>\n

The Rapid\/Ultra Rapid charging hubs will feature a sculpted photovoltaic canopy using a moulded structure instead of steel, one of the first seen globally.<\/p>\n

This EV infrastructure contract marks the latest in Galliford Try\u2019s sustainable energy projects, as in January they published the results of their One in a Million initiative<\/a> for 2024.<\/p>\n

The initiative aimed to save one tonne of carbon for every \u00a31m spent throughout the year, covering 49 projects over 11 business units.<\/p>\n

The project was a success, meeting and exceeding targets to save 4 tonnes of carbon per \u00a31m, saving a total of 7,225tCO2e.<\/p>\n

This was achieved through various means, such as re-using existing structures, using hybrid generators, or utilising a low carbon Electric Arc Furnace for steel products.<\/p>\n

The company are now continuing this initiative into 2025.<\/p>\n

Andy Duggins, managing director for Galliford Try Digital Infrastructure, said: \u201cWe are delighted to be working with Osprey and Re-Power on this ground-breaking new charging station. The EV installation market is a key part of our Sustainable Growth Strategy and I look forward to working with all the stakeholders involved to provide this much-needed new facility for local EV owners in Glasgow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ian Johnston, CEO, Osprey Charging Network, said: \u201cWe know customers prefer charging hubs with canopies and are delighted that this project is underway, bringing Osprey\u2019s rapid, reliable charging to more of Scotland\u2019s EV drivers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wendy Summers, director of Kepler Consultancy Limited, acting on behalf of REIT Group, said: \u201cREIT Group is delighted to be involved with this innovative project and is excited to see the initial concept come to fruition. The development shows great commitment to the local area and will provide a facility which is functional, sustainable and eye catching.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mark Deverell, director and co-founder at Re-Power Energy, said: \u201cThis is an exciting time for Re-Power Energy as we break ground on this project as part of our extensive pipeline and prepare for our Second Funding round this coming Autumn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Electric vehicles are becoming more commonplace, as Transport for London is also beginning to test electric construction vehicles<\/a> at their worksites.<\/p>\n
