The provisional figures have been released for 2024\/2025, showing that government targets have been exceeded<\/h2>\n

The Homes England<\/a> stats cover new homes started, completed, and the number of potential homes unlocked.<\/p>\n

They also cover all the firms, companies, and colleagues working with the agency to unlock and build new homes.<\/p>\n

Key work in delivering the 1.5m target<\/h3>\n

Through working with Homes England, organisations across the country have completed over 36,000 homes, up from 2023\/24 figures by 14%. They have also seen construction-starts for 38,000 homes (an 8% increase), and unlocked land for 79,000 homes.<\/p>\n

Homes England are supporting housing and regeneration via interventions in land acquisition, providing expertise, and strategic placemaking. This facilitates safe and affordable housing to be built through the 2021-2026 Affordable Homes Programme, the Home Building Fund, and other investments.<\/p>\n

In April, the agency announced that they would fund hundreds of extra new homes via co-operation with HSBC UK<\/a>, working in the South of England and partnering with Wyatt Homes through the Homes England Home Building Fund.<\/p>\n

Earlier that same month, it was announced that Homes England had acquired their largest housing development site to date<\/a>, spanning 34 hectares in the South East Warrington Urban Extension. This site will see around 4,200 new homes built, with 30% of them being affordable homes.<\/p>\n

Matthew Pennycook, minister of state for housing and planning, said: \u201cHomes England is playing a crucial role in supporting the government\u2019s Plan for Change to build 1.5 million new homes and deliver the biggest increase in social and affordable housebuilding in a generation.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast year I set out ambitious priorities for Homes England and I am pleased that the Agency has exceeded key housebuilding targets to ramp up the delivery of new homes and place-based regeneration. This is alongside backing SME housebuilders and bolstering the government\u2019s wider devolution agenda to unlock much-needed housing and growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pat Ritchie, chair of Homes England, said: \u201cAs the newly appointed chair of Homes England, I\u2019m proud to see the hard work of the Agency reflected in our 2024\/25 performance figures. The team\u2019s passion for housebuilding and regeneration remains its greatest strength, and I\u2019m pleased to see this so clearly demonstrated in these results.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking forward, the transformation of the Agency into a more regionally-based model will mean we\u2019re well-placed to support the government\u2019s mission to build 1.5 million homes this parliament.<\/p>\n
