NISTA infrastructure pipeline tool launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The tool is an online website that provides real-time updates on planned major private and public sector infrastructure projects<\/h2>\n<p>The NISTA infrastructure pipeline tool contains details on 780 current projects, providing the industry with longer-term clarity.<\/p>\n<p>The website is also intended to create the jobs and supply chain capacity required for the delivery of said infrastructure.<\/p>\n<h3>The infrastructure pipeline tool uses a wide variety of data<\/h3>\n<p>The data is gathered from 40 government departments, public bodies, and regulated businesses to provide as much accurate and up-to-date detail as possible.<\/p>\n<p>The projects and programmes currently in the database represent \u00a3530bn over the next decade, including \u00a3285bn funded by the public sector.<\/p>\n<p>Chief secretary to the treasury Darren Jones MP said: \u201cLast month, I set out a comprehensive ten-year strategy to restore confidence in the UK\u2019s capacity to provide the infrastructure we need to renew Britain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDelivering that ambition will require support from the private sector to invest in the jobs and training opportunities workers need to help us rebuild the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis pipeline brings industry on that journey with us \u2013 by giving business leaders and investors confidence about future work and therefore the confidence to invest in their workforce.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pipeline.nista.grid.civilservice.gov.uk\/introduction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The infrastructure pipeline tool can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Infrastructure strategy breakdown<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/new-uk-infrastructure-strategy-published-housing-top-priority\/152396\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UK\u2019s 10-year infrastructure strategy was published last month<\/a> on the back of the Spending Review, laying out investment plans for the decade, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least \u00a3600m investment each year on average from 2026-27 to 2034-35 in maintaining the justice estate, up from \u00a3500m investment in 2025-26.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a36.3bn investment in prison expansion from 2025-26 to 2030-31, delivering the government\u2019s commitment to build 14,000 more prison places.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a37.9bn from 2026-27 to 2035-36 for a new 10-year floods investment programme, benefitting around 840,000 properties by 2035-36<\/li>\n<li>Almost \u00a33bn per year by 2034-35 to improve the condition of the schools and college estate, rising from \u00a32.4bn in 2025-26.<\/li>\n<li>Almost \u00a320bn investment in the School Rebuilding Programme from 2025-26 to 2034-35, delivering rebuilding projects at over 500 schools across England within the existing School Rebuilding Programme and enabling a further 250 schools to be selected within the next two years.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a339bn for a successor to the Affordable Homes Programme over 10 years from 2026-27 to 2035-36.<\/li>\n<li>Over \u00a36bn per year from 2025-26 to 2034-35 for maintenance and repair of the NHS estate with investment targeted to reduce the level of critical infrastructure risk and eradicate RAAC entirely.<\/li>\n<li>This is alongside funding of up to \u00a324bn from 2025-26 to 2034-35 for the New Hospital Programme to continue delivery of 35 hospitals including replacement of the 7 built with RAAC.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a315.6bn in total by 2031-32 for the elected Mayors of some of our largest city regions via the Transport for City Regions (TCR) settlements, supporting them to invest in their
