The Cardiff and Vale housing partnership has completed their contracts and is now set to deliver 2,500 new homes over the next ten years.<\/p>\n
Lovell was selected as the preferred developer earlier this year.<\/p>\n
At least half of the new homes will be built as affordable homes, either through social rent or Shared Ownership, while the rest will be open market sale.<\/p>\n
Work on the developments is due to begin in December, with the following year seeing the first properties finished and open for occupation.<\/p>\n
This is Cardiff Council\u2019s second housing programme after the Cardiff Living scheme, which forms part of wider plans to build more than 4,000 new homes. It is Cale of Glamorgan\u2019s first major housing project, leaning into the Council\u2019s plan for housing that has already built over 300 social rent homes in the last half decade.<\/p>\n
