Designed by Corstorphine &amp; Wright, the scheme will feature photovoltaic panels as part of its energy strategy, supporting the constabulary\u2019s net zero goals.<\/p>\n<p>Procured through the <a href=\"https:\/\/scape.co.uk\/construction-frameworks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SCAPE Construction framework<\/a>, ground will be broken in September 2025 with completion expected by June 2027.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1744\" data-end=\"1788\">Focus on efficiency and sustainability<\/h3>\n<p>Assistant chief officer Andrew Price at Derbyshire Constabulary said: &#8220;This new custody suite represents a significant investment in our operational capabilities. The modern facility will provide our officers with the modern and fit-for-purpose working environment they need to serve the communities of Derbyshire effectively.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Cotterill, project director at Willmott Dixon, added: &#8220;We are proud to be working with Derbyshire Constabulary to deliver this critical infrastructure. As a company with extensive experience in law-and-order projects, we understand the unique requirements of custody facilities and the importance of creating environments that support both operational efficiency and officer wellbeing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1609\" data-end=\"1900\">Market outlook: Rising demand for critical infrastructure<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1362\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.willmottdixon.co.uk\/projects\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Willmott Dixon<\/a> is currently on site with the \u00a355m redevelopment of Hertfordshire Constabulary\u2019s headquarters in Welwyn Garden City and earlier this year began work on an \u00a318m police station for Lancashire Constabulary in Nelson.<\/p>\n<p>Investment in custody and justice facilities is expected to grow in the coming years as forces and government departments respond to rising population pressures, outdated estates and the need for more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/ebook\/building-for-net-zero-meeting-the-future-homes-standard-with-fabric-efficiency\/154429\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">energy-efficient buildings<\/a>.
