Autodesk has provided its software and technology free to more than 150m students and educators worldwide, the company has announced<\/h2>\n

For more than a decade, Autodesk has made its professional-grade tools<\/a> available at no cost to accredited institutions and verified students and educators, giving them access to the same technology used by architects, engineers, manufacturers and creators worldwide.<\/p>\n

Bridging the skills gap in an AI-powered future<\/h3>\n

As the global workforce changes faster than educators can keep up, access to the latest technology for students is critical.<\/p>\n

Autodesk\u2019s\u00a0State of Design & Make<\/a> report\u00a0found that 58% of professionals cite a lack of skilled talent as a barrier to growth, while 61% say it\u2019s getting harder to find new hires with the right technical skills.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, AI is continuing to surface in today\u2019s jobs, with demand for AI skills in job listings surging by more than 640% since 2022, according to Autodesk\u2019s recent AI Jobs Report<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Students feel\u00a0the urgency, too.\u00a0Nearly half\u00a0of college students don\u2019t believe they\u2019re learning the AI skills\u00a0they\u2019ll\u00a0need to succeed after\u00a0graduation.<\/p>\n

Autodesk works to connect students across\u00a0secondary,\u00a0trade schools, community colleges and universities to the technology, real-world projects, and career opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith technology advancing faster than education can keep pace, it\u2019s crucial that industry leaders like Autodesk help equip STEM students and educators with the right tools at every stage of learning,\u201d said Mary Hope McQuiston, vice-president of education at Autodesk.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt often starts with Tinkercad, where students first learn to imagine and create, and continues with professional-grade tools that prepare them for real careers. Reaching 150m students and educators, and now expanding access to Flow Studio, shows what\u2019s possible when learners can design, make and tell their story with the same technology the pros use.\u201d<\/p>\n

Autodesk has reached 100m\u00a0Tinkercad\u00a0users to date.\u00a0The free, browser-based 3D design tool\u00a0introduces young learners to creative problem-solving and STEM. For many,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0the first step toward mastering professional tools like Fusion and Forma \u2014 connecting imagination in the classroom to innovation in the real world.<\/p>\n
