Achieving the full potential of the identified 310 sites will cost \u00a32bn, according to the mayor&#8217;s plans. This is to offset the financial viability concerns around urban development of new homes- often considered more costly than more profit-minded projects.<\/p>\n<p>The combined authority will also be asked to approve of establishing a mayoral development corporation (MDC) to support the delivery of new homes in Liverpool. The MDC will begin by focusing on the North Docks area, with plans to develop a model that can be deployed effectively across other regeneration sites in the wider Liverpool area.<\/p>\n<h3>A meeting will be held with stakeholders on 5th February<\/h3>\n<p>The combined authority will meet with contractors, developers, investors, local authorities and housing associations to find ways to speed up delivery of the new homes in Liverpool.<\/p>\n<p>This event will also see the launch of the new \u2018LCR Developer Forum\u2019, designed to build confidence in the market and support developers.<\/p>\n<h4>Mayor Steve Rotheram said:<\/h4>\n<p>\u201cRight now, too many families across our city region are being priced out or left waiting while good sites sit stalled and unused. This plan is about changing that.
