The Building Safety Act has fundamentally changed the way residential buildings are designed, constructed and managed in the UK. While much of the conversation has focused on high-rise buildings, gateways and the role of the Building Safety Regulator, there\u2019s another important part of the development process that often gets overlooked in this discussion \u2014 structural warranties<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Building Safety Act has changed the risk landscape<\/h3>\n

The Building Safety Act was introduced in response to major building failures and aims to improve accountability, competence and documentation across the entire lifecycle of a building. The key theme running through the legislation is clear: responsibility can no longer be passed around loosely, and documentation is no longer optional \u2014 it is central to compliance.<\/p>\n
