Insulation specialist Actis<\/a> has appointed a new area sales manager for the South East and London to help merchants, builders and specifiers in the capital and home counties<\/h2>\n

Jake Wilson, who has an MA in international HR and a degree in international business management, will be offering technical advice, product guidance and on site support to distributors, merchants, architects and builders.<\/p>\n

He says the combination of his academic background and previous work in sales for car hire giant Enterprise has provided him with skills essential for his new role.<\/p>\n

Jake on how he is approaching the role:<\/h3>\n

\u201cMy MA taught me how people think, what motivates them, and how to communicate clearly with different personalities and working styles,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Enterprise I had to understand the customer\u2019s situation quickly, ask the right questions, and recommend the best option for them, not just the most obvious one. That taught me how to listen properly and tailor solutions, a mindset essential in insulation sales, where customers rely on you for clarity, technical guidance and confidence that they\u2019re choosing the right system for their project.\u201d<\/p>\n

He is passionate about Actis\u2019 ethos and product range<\/h3>\n

\u201cI was drawn to Actis because it\u2019s a company that genuinely pushes the boundaries of what insulation can achieve. The Hybrid reflective technology is a great example of innovation with a real purpose. It isn\u2019t just a clever product<\/a>, it\u2019s a solution that improves comfort, energy efficiency and long term performance.<\/p>\n

Away from work, Jake enjoys visiting National Trust properties with his Old English sheepdog Maya, whom he brought back to the UK from China, where he worked for four years, spending much of his time volunteering for animal charities.<\/p>\n

As passionate about animal welfare as he is about insulation, Jake takes part every year in the Battersea Cats and Dogs Home \u2018Muddy Dog Challenge,\u2019 a 5k obstacle course for owners and their dogs to raise money for pets in need of new homes.<\/p>\n
