{"id":20874,"date":"2015-10-27T13:57:42","date_gmt":"2015-10-27T13:57:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=20874"},"modified":"2016-12-13T12:53:46","modified_gmt":"2016-12-13T12:53:46","slug":"3000th-milestone-award-for-morgan-sindall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/3000th-milestone-award-for-morgan-sindall\/20874\/","title":{"rendered":"3,000th Milestone award for Morgan Sindall"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Contractor Morgan Sindall has been given an award in recognition of its commitment to the sector, as it registers its 3,000<sup>th<\/sup> site\u2026<\/h2>\n<p>Construction and infrastructure firm <a href=\"http:\/\/www.morgansindall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Morgan Sindall<\/a> has been recognised for its efforts to improve the image of the industry.<\/p>\n<p>The award was granted by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccscheme.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Considerate Constructors Scheme<\/a>, a non-profit organisation put in place to improve construction. Companies registered on the scheme follow a Code of Consideration Practice, which focuses on protecting the environment, respecting the community, and ensuring safety on site.<\/p>\n<p>This latest award was granted for the redevelopment of a prestigious landmark in central Birmingham, worth some \u00a330m. The project, which expects to complete by autumn next year, will see 55 Colmore Row redeveloped into 160,000 sq ft of Grade A office space.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Sindall was one of the first to join the scheme when it started in 1997 and became an Associate Member in 2007. This status is given to firms that prove their commitment to the code by consistently submitting high performing registrations.<\/p>\n<p>Considerate Constructors Scheme Chief Executive Edward Hardy commented: \u201cMorgan Sindall\u2019s milestone achievement acknowledges the long-standing commitment they have made towards improving the image of the industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough supporting the Scheme and its aims, they play a pivotal role in driving the industry forward and setting the standard for others to follow. The Scheme looks forward to recognising more milestone achievements with other contractors, as the industry and public continue to realise the benefits that being part of the Scheme brings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Sindall\u2019s Managing Director for Construction Pat Boyle said: \u201cI am very proud to accept this milestone award on behalf of all of our employees, which demonstrates our on-going commitment to being a considerate constructor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an Associate Member, the Considerate Constructors Scheme is fundamental to the way we manage our construction projects and engage with communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe strive to go above and beyond the Scheme\u2019s Code of Considerate Practice and our ultimate aim is to leave a positive Morgan Sindall legacy long after project handover.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ben Cushway, Contracts Manager at Morgan Sindall added: \u201cThe Colmore Row project team is delighted to be the 3,000th Scheme site registration for Morgan Sindall.
