The company saw growth in its construction and infrastructure divisions.<\/p>\n<p>The news will undoubtedly be welcomed as the firm reported a pre-tax loss of \u00a327.2m in the first part of this year due to issues with contracts.<\/p>\n<p>Since the 1 July, Morgan Sindall said a \u201cpositive momentum has continued across the group with a focus on the overall quality of the order book and more favourable procurement routes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Construction &amp; Infrastructure, performance continues to gradually improve compared to the first half of the year as further progress is made with completing and closing out a number of its lower margin construction contracts in London and the South East.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs expected, Fit Out has continued to trade strongly, with activity at similar levels to the first half of the year, however at improved margins.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLikewise, progress in Affordable Housing has been as expected with a significant proportion of its open market house sales scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithin Affordable Housing, the response maintenance activities remain on track to deliver the previously stated target of a minimum of break-even by 2016.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mk-custom-module-container\">\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Construction firm Morgan Sindall reported its construction and infrastructure divisions have experienced an improvement in performance\u2026 A trading update to the City this morning has revealed an improvement in performance for construction firm Morgan Sindall.
