Outlined below are the updates included in Version 2.1 and what is upcoming in Version 3.0 in the very near future.<\/p>\n<p>Following on from the release of Version 2.0 in February we have been able to accelerate the development of additional functionality based on feedback from our users. Version 2.1 is the first in the delivery of functionality that continues in line with our aim to provide our users with the tools that will enable them to create more energy efficient buildings more cost effectively. The additional Version 2.1 functionality includes the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inclined Planes<\/li>\n<li>Improved Solar Data Precision<\/li>\n<li>Detailed Solar Data Breakdown<\/li>\n<li>Surrounding Building &amp; Self Shading<\/li>\n<li>Alignment of Building Types with Revit<\/li>\n<li>Data Snapshots<\/li>\n<li>Configurable Glazing Specifications<\/li>\n<li>Rotating Views<\/li>\n<li>Renaming Fa\u00e7ades<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Future releases will include further refinement of the look and feel of the user interface which will include improvements to the charting and reporting ahead of the release of Version 3 in September.<\/p>\n<p>FenestraPro Premium for Revit Version 3.0 will be yet another major step forward towards providing our users with the ability to understand the performance implications of design decisions at any point of the design process.<\/p>\n<p>It will enable users to use FenestraPro Premium not only in the conceptual design but also on the detailed model in the project environment and at every stage in between. This end to end functionality will mean that users will always have visibility on the thermal, solar and daylighting performance characteristics in real time. It will also provide the ability to automatically generate optimised measures to control the performance of the building\u2019s fa\u00e7ade, optimise thermal performance, maximising heat gain without causing overheating and ensuring natural daylighting is maintained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/planningandbuildingcontroltoday.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/BIM-Today-1_300.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-24909\" alt=\"BIM Today 1_300\" src=\"http:\/\/planningandbuildingcontroltoday.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/BIM-Today-1_300.jpg\" width=\"676\" height=\"471\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With the release of Version 3, users will be provided with the ability to generate optimal design solutions within the detailed model based on performance. This will include tagging the glazing families with the appropriate glazing type based on performance. It will also allow to adjust the amount of glazing on each surface and its configuration, generate and apply alternative shading solutions and provide real-time performance information and data that will give the user the ability to understand the implications of their design decisions.
