We\u2019ve been absolutely delighted with the results and with the early response from firms globally, who for the first time ever have been told that they can have both efficiency and non-toxicity,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>MEG-based heat transfer fluids are widely used in heating and cooling systems around the world as they offer good physical properties, but are toxic. The preferred alternative by many \u2013 MPG \u2013 has a more favourable toxic profile but is far less efficient at transferring heat energy, particularly at low circulation temperatures. And with energy costs spiralling, industry has long been seeking a more cost-effective and safe alternative. Kilfrost\u2019s team of expert chemists took on this challenge and developed a range of fluids to perfectly suit a diverse range of sectors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kilfrost GEO\u00ae provides high efficiency, a good environmental profile, minimal physical hazards, and excellent system protection, and is the first advanced heat transfer fluid engineered specifically to support geothermal applications, in particular closed loop systems<\/li>\n<li>Kilfrost GLV\u00ae is a low viscosity non-toxic heat transfer fluid, formulated with bio-derived fluids and designed to reduce pressure drops, lower pumping costs, and increase hydraulic efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Kilfrost ALV\u00ae is based on GRAS listed base fluids and is for use in secondary refrigeration, heating and air conditioning<\/li>\n<li>Kilfrost ALV Plus\u00ae is a low viscosity heat transfer fluid which is formulated with organic, FDA approved inhibitors and viscosity modifiers.
