He was working at the M8 roadworks near to Carnbroe Road, Bellshill. He was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he is being cared for at the intensive care unit.<\/p>\n<h3>Health and Safety Executive to investigate<\/h3>\n<p>The incident, which is being treated as an industrial accident, is under investigation by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hse.gov.uk\" target=\"_blank\">Health and Safety Executive<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: \u201cAround 1100 hours on Tuesday 22nd November, police attended a report of an 18-year old man having sustained serious injuries whilst working at the M8 road works near to Carnbroe Road, Bellshill.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmergency services responded and the man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe injured man is still within the intensive care unit after receiving treatment for serious injuries.
