A privilege to gain membership<\/h3>\n
AWMS Managing Director Steve Durdant-Hollamby said: \u201cIt\u2019s a privilege to be part of a high profile association.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe CPA is the leading voice for manufacturers and distributors in our industry. It is committed to raising the profile of construction, which includes supporting and lobbying government and other public bodies in the UK to develop effective policies and solutions.<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cThe CPA\u2019s recent \u2018Flooding & Resilience\u2019 workshops are clear examples.<\/p>\n
\u201cRecognising the need to protect our built environment from the increasing risk of floods, the CPA is actively building awareness of an important issue and working towards driving change in regulations and standards.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve attended these workshops and hope that as an industry we can come together to influence government and other relevant bodies to act on better flood resistance and resilience.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dr Diana Montgomery, Chief Executive of the Construction Products Association, said: \u201cAs the CPA\u2019s membership continues to grow in strength and numbers we are delighted to welcome AWMS.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe matter of flood resilience is an important one for the CPA and through our affiliation we will continue to build awareness on this issue. We look forward to working with them in the coming year.\u201d<\/p>\n
The CPA also has a number of trade associations within its membership, including the Builders\u2019 Merchants Federation (BMF), British Woodworking Federation (BWF), Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP), National Merchant Buying Society (NMBS), Future Water Association, BRUFMA and NFRC.<\/p>\n
