{"id":36162,"date":"2017-11-06T11:31:52","date_gmt":"2017-11-06T11:31:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=36162"},"modified":"2017-11-06T11:31:52","modified_gmt":"2017-11-06T11:31:52","slug":"initial-phase-of-rental-properties-boost-unveiled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/initial-phase-of-rental-properties-boost-unveiled\/36162\/","title":{"rendered":"Initial phase of rental properties boost unveiled"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The initial apartments to be built as part of a \u00a3800m investment programme to create new rental properties across England have been revealed in Sheffield<\/h2>\n<p>Representatives from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sigmacapital.co.uk\/\">Sigma Capital Group<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sheffieldhousingcompany.co.uk\/\">Sheffield Housing Company<\/a> (SHC), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/homes-and-communities-agency\">the Homes and Communities Agency<\/a> (HCA) visited the newly completed Park Grange House in Norfolk Park, to see the \u00a32.7m three-storey development, which has been built by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/keepmoat-receives-consent-to-deliver-826-new-homes\/35923\">Keepmoat Regeneration<\/a>, part of the ENGIE Group.<\/p>\n<p>The new development is part of a wider investment with Sigma Capital Group plc to deliver a target of 5,000 high-quality rental properties across the country by 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Martin Smithurst, Regional Managing Director at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.keepmoatregen.com\/\">Keepmoat Regeneration<\/a>, said: \u201cThe completion of Park Grange House is an important milestone for the partnership and we are very proud to have played a part in providing these much needed high-quality homes in such a prime location.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe PRS market has become increasingly popular in recent years and this demand has to play a greater role in accelerating the delivery of new homes. To successfully tackle the housing shortage, we have to build properties of varying tenure and this project is a great example of partnership working at its best. We are delighted to be working with Sigma and like-minded organisations that are focussed on meeting the country\u2019s needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 24 two-bedroom apartments at Park Grange House, in Norfolk Park, Sheffield are available for private rent, through Sigma\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sigmacapital.co.uk\/prs\/simple-life\/\">Simple Life<\/a> private rented sector (PRS) brand; while the lettings and property management of the apartments at Park Grange House will be undertaken by SDL Group.<\/p>\n<p>Rachel Hoy, Development Manager at Sigma Capital, said: \u201cWe are really pleased to have completed our first development with Keepmoat Regeneration and we are already looking forward to getting on site with our pipeline of developments planned with both Keepmoat Regeneration and SHC, thus cementing our partnership together. We are also delighted to be supporting Sheffield as a city, in being able to help deliver private rental family homes where there is a genuine demand in the area. The apartments are stunning; we are very pleased with the finished result. Perfect for young professionals, they have already proved to be very popular with only 6 of the 24 apartments still available.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John Clephan, Project Director with SHC, said: \u201cWe have already developed over 400 homes for sale, shared ownership and affordable rent in Sheffield. This project will now add private rented properties to the local housing offer.
