A&B Engineering (Mechanical Services Division) Ltd has become the latest construction industry organisation to choose BIM Certification, provided by Stroma Certification<\/h2>\n

The certification for BIM is provided in line with the current mandated construction standard for centrally procured public sector contracts, PAS 1192-2:2013 standard. A&B Engineering<\/a> will now be able to offer their services to their employers, providing confidence to different parties they comply with the requirements of BIM<\/a> Level 2.<\/p>\n

A&B Engineering, based in Liverpool, provides their clients with design and installation services for mechanical, electrical and plumbing. They have a near 70-year track record of service provision to their clients. By achieving BIM Certification they can demonstrate a commitment to delivering their services in compliance with the BIM Level 2 related standards.<\/p>\n

Stroma Certification<\/a> has been developing certification schemes for the construction industry for more than a decade. Following the Government introduced mandate for centrally procured projects to be delivered in compliance with BIM Level 2, Stroma developed their PAS 1192-2 scheme. The scheme is suitable for designers, contractors and the wider supply chain<\/a> and helps organisations to identify their role in the construction lifecycle<\/a> in the context of BIM.<\/p>\n

Stephen Burns, BIM Manager of A&B Engineering (Mechanical Division), said: \u201cBuilding Information Modelling has now become the industry standard way of designing & running construction projects and A&B have been actively supporting this process since 2012. We are pleased to achieve BIM level 2 certification as it now allows us to further demonstrate our understanding and commitment to the process.\u201d<\/p>\n
