Sellhousefast.uk<\/a>\u00a0analysed data from 946 households to understand more about Brits’ attitudes towards smart technology in the home<\/h2>\n

Recent research\u00a0conducted by Ernst & Young (EY) discovered that 43% of Brits own at least one smart product in their home.<\/p>\n

Interested to find out more,\u00a0Sellhousefast.uk<\/a>\u00a0analysed findings from Eureaka!<\/a> who surveyed 946 UK households to better understand the attitudes of Brits towards smart technology.<\/p>\n

The analysis found that 72% of participants voted the \u2018lounge\u2019\u00a0as the room most ideal for smart technology. In close second, 53% of Brits voted for the\u00a0\u2018kitchen\u2019 and then, 34% chose\u00a0\u2018bedrooms\u2019 as the next best suited spaces for accommodating smart technology.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the \u2018landing\u2019 was voted as the part of the house which Brits feel is the least suited for smart devices\/products.<\/p>\n

Robby Du Toit, Managing Director of Sellhousefast.uk commented:\u00a0\u201c<\/em>The growth of smart home technology over the last few years has been phenomenal. Despite Brits being initially sceptical towards the technology, improved understanding and more affordable pricing has given smart devices greater appeal.<\/p>\n

“This research certainly shows that Brits are beginning to have a firm grasp of the smart technology they desire and would be willing to actively use in their home.<\/p>\n

“Looking into the future, with the integration of smart home devices expected to become a real incentive for prospective buyers\/renters, the technology could play a fundamental role in increasing the overall value of properties\u201d.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the house selling experts investigated the types of smart technology products that homeowners are most willing to buy.<\/p>\n

It was revealed that \u2018video doorbells\/security systems\u2019 is the smart technology that most appeals to Brits, with 47% of participants planning to purchase in the next couple of years.<\/p>\n

In addiiton, almost half of those asked want to install \u2018smart lights\u2019, which will allow them to wirelessly adjust the brightness\/colour of as well as schedule – as and when needed.<\/p>\n
