One of the UK\u2019s largest housing associations, Clarion Housing Group<\/a>, has called up housing maintenance contractors to bid for three separate contracts that could run for 20 years<\/h2>\n

Clarion\u2019s planned investment and regeneration major works<\/a> contract is worth more than \u00a31.76bn over 20 years, and includes the maintenance and refurbishment of more than 65,000 properties that it owns.<\/p>\n

Three contractors are required for the maintenance and regeneration works in; East Anglia and the West Midlands; North London and South and South London.<\/p>\n

The 20-year long contracts will incorporate a \u201cno fault break clause\u201d exercisable on notice after the first three years.<\/p>\n

Clarion will review the contract at least once every five years to decide whether or not to exercise the break clause.<\/p>\n

The 65,000 properties are a mix of type from houses and bungalows to flats.<\/p>\n

Lot 1 is worth \u00a3546m and covers the East region, defined as East Anglia, Birmingham and Coventry. This lot comprises approximately 17,800 properties.<\/p>\n

Lot 2 is for north London and consists of nearly 20,000 properties. This lot is valued at \u00a3615m over the 20-year term.<\/p>\n

Lot 3 is for south London and the south, including south London boroughs, Southern Home Counties, Kent and Dorset. This lot has nearly 30,000 properties and is valued at \u00a3600m.<\/p>\n

Procurement supervisors aim to invite shortlisted firms to submit tenders at the end of October.<\/p>\n

Prior to this, Clarion is holding a bidders day on 13 September. Firms interested in attending are invited to email\u00a0Clarion<\/a>\u00a0with their contact details.<\/p>\n
