Dale Camsell has officially joined the Construction Equipment Association<\/a> (CEA) as the association\u2019s new Senior Technical Consultant, in succession to Malcolm Kent, who recently retired<\/h2>\n

Camsell has an abundance of experience in the non-road mobile machinery sector, having held senior regulatory compliance positions for a number of off-highway manufacturers.<\/p>\n

During this time Camsell was a major contributor to the work of trade associations and standards development agencies. Key appointments included being Chair of the CEA\u2019s General Technical Committee and Chair of the Technical Commission of the Committee of European Construction Equipment.<\/p>\n

He was also heavily involved in the development of international safety standards through his participation in many ISO and CEN working groups, which included being Chair of an ISO technical sub-committee. Additionally, Camsell chaired the British Standards Institution\u2019s committee for earth-moving machinery<\/a> standards.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining the CEA, he worked for JCB, leading the regulatory compliance teams, ensuring that its entire portfolio of machines and engines, met all necessary regulatory requirements across the global markets.<\/p>\n

Rob Oliver chief executive CEA said: \u201cDale, as a former chair of our General Technical Committee and someone who has held key positions within the Committee for European Construction Equipment (CECE)<\/a>, is the ideal person to fill the role for the CEA.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has first-hand experience of the regulatory topics facing manufacturers and the vital experience which will help us deal with both the current and future relationship with the EU.\u201d<\/p>\n

Camsell said: \u201cI’m absolutely delighted to be joining the CEA team. Having worked for various UK non-road mobile machinery manufacturers over my time in the industry, I have first-hand experience of the benefits of CEA membership.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m therefore very proud to be joining the team and pledge to continue the legacy of my predecessor, Malcolm Kent, in providing members with the highest level of professional technical\/regulatory advice, guidance and expertise they’ve come to expect.\u201d<\/p>\n
