Residential property developer and investor, London Green, has secured planning permission on appeal to redevelop a vacant office building in the London Borough of Bromley<\/h2>\n

The building neighbours a warehouse that London Green<\/a> had previously acquired and secured consent, also through appeal, for conversion to residential use.<\/p>\n

The combined scheme, to be known as The Glassworks, will comprise of 28 high-end residential apartments with a mixture of sizes and layouts, including duplexes.\u00a0 Many units will have private gardens or balconies, with a large communal roof terrace providing further amenity space.\u00a0 The works will also include new facades for both buildings, dramatically improving the external appearance and enhancing the street scene.<\/p>\n

Joe Green, Director of London Green, said: \u201cThe result of the decision, by the appeal inspector, to dismiss the local authorities\u2019 reasons for refusal, means our plans to redevelop these underutilised buildings can go ahead.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe scheme will provide much needed residential accommodation for the local area. It means that we can now put the wheels into motion and create homes which will contribute to the ongoing regeneration in Bromley and also benefit potential first-time buyers<\/a> in the area.\u201d<\/p>\n

Works are expected to start on site before the end of the year.\u00a0 Alex Webster of Andmore Planning<\/a> advised on the planning.<\/p>\n
