Since 2017, AEC’s realistically sized Hazard House allows trainees to interact with over 180 mock asbestos<\/a> installations and legionella hazards.<\/p>\n In the house’s classroom facility, trainees use Oculus headsets to explore different types of asbestos and legionella hazards at different locations all around the house.<\/p>\n The facility allows trainees to step away from traditional training methods such as looking at photos, and instead learn from a 360 degree view of each learning space, providing them with confidence to spot real-life hazards in the workplace.<\/p>\n This year, the forward-thinking training facility was recognised with a business award for Innovation by the UKATA<\/a>.<\/p>\n
