Amey Consulting<\/a> has been awarded a multi-million pound Design Services contract to shape the future of roads across the North West<\/h2>\n

The Design Services contract for motorways and major A-roads in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and South Lancashire is worth \u00a349.7m and will run for up to 5 years. It is part of Highways England\u2019s<\/a> Asset Delivery operating model.<\/p>\n

The contract, which starts in April 2019, will see Amey Consulting carrying out the designs of structures, drains, barriers, signs, landscaping, lighting, traffic signals and other features across the North West\u2019s 260 miles of motorway and 50 miles of major A road.<\/p>\n

Highways England\u2019s Executive Director of Operations, Nick Harris, said: \u201cThis contract will enable Highways England to deliver the schemes which will improve both journeys for our customer and the condition of the road network.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Design Services contract will help us continue to drive improvements in delivery and strengthening of our regional expertise. We are delighted to award this contract to Amey and look forward to establishing a successful, long-term relationship with them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amey\u2019s Chief Executive Andy Milner, said: \u201cCollaboration is at the core of Amey Consulting\u2019s approach, and working closely with Highways England and the Asset Delivery Community, we look forward to delivering long-lasting benefits for the communities of the North West.\u201d<\/p>\n

In October, Amey<\/a> was awarded a \u00a3325m Asset Delivery Maintenance and Response contract for Area 10, which will run for up to 15 years.<\/p>\n
