The Early Learning Village, Singapore; the Musee d\u2019Arts de Nantes; and the National Gallery of Ireland are just three of the entries shortlisted for the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers<\/a> (CIBSE) Building Performance Awards 2019<\/h2>\n

The CIBSE<\/a> Building Performance Awards 2019 recognise the teams, products, innovations, initiatives and projects that demonstrate engineering excellence in the built environment. These are the only built environment<\/a> awards that focus on actual, in-use measured performance of the completed project, rather than on projections or the design intent.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s awards feature fourteen categories including: Building Performance Engineer; Building Performance Consultancy; Energy Management Initiative; and Project of the Year – International.<\/p>\n

Now in their twelfth year, the awards are judged by a panel of experts and industry leaders from a number of complementary spheres within the built environment.<\/p>\n

Hywel Davies, Technical Director of CIBSE, Judge Chair, said: \u201cAll those on the shortlist have demonstrated a significant contribution and commitment to achieving improved building performance, either as individuals or as part of a team, which has resulted in clear and measureable reduction of energy consumption and carbon emissions.\u201d<\/p>\n

The quality of the entries means that this year\u2019s competition was extremely closely contested.
