{"id":50157,"date":"2018-12-13T09:57:53","date_gmt":"2018-12-13T09:57:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=50157"},"modified":"2018-12-13T09:57:53","modified_gmt":"2018-12-13T09:57:53","slug":"speedy-acquires-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/plant-equipment-supplies-news\/speedy-acquires-training\/50157\/","title":{"rendered":"Speedy acquires construction training company for \u00a39m"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Tools, equipment and plant hire services, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.speedyservices.com\/\">Speedy<\/a>, has announced the acquisition of training provider Geason Holdings Limited<\/h2>\n<p>Geason is a leading provider of construction and professional services training across the UK, operating from a head office in Glasgow, with over 1,100 apprentices and 500 NVQ learners currently on programmes.<\/p>\n<p>Geason&#8217;s unaudited accounts for the twelve months to 31 October 2018 reported revenue of \u00a38.3m, EBITA of \u00a31.7m and gross assets of \u00a32.6m.<\/p>\n<p>Cash consideration paid on completion amounted to \u00a39m with net cash assumed of \u00a3300,000.\u00a0Contingent consideration of up to \u00a326m may be payable in cash based on a multiple of 3.25x EBITA, dependent on the combined performance of Geason and Speedy&#8217;s training business in the three years post-acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition will allow Geason to better support its customers in training and developing their staff and accelerate the growth of Speedy&#8217;s services businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the acquisition,\u00a0Russell Down, Chief Executive of Speedy, said: &#8220;This acquisition expands our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/building-services-professionals-training\/33335\/\">training services<\/a> offering and allows us to deliver flexible, progressive training programmes to support customers across the UK.
