BAM Construction<\/a>\u00a0has closed a deal on two healthcare projects which are being delivered for NHS Greater Glasgow<\/a> and Clyde by hub West Scotland<\/a><\/h2>\n

Greenock Health Centre<\/a> is a \u00a319m state-of-the-art care centre located on the former site of Wellington Academy in Dempster Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The three-storey building designed by leading Scottish architects, Hoskins<\/a>, the facility will bring together four existing GP practices, district nurses, health visitors, dental and podiatry departments and a number of out-patient clinics. The design even includes a new community caf\u00e9. Work is scheduled for completion in August 2020.<\/p>\n

The second project, by Keppie Design<\/a>, forms part of Stobhill\u2019s dedicated Mental Health Campus on Balornock Road in Glasgow. BAM is set to create an \u00a38.5m single-storey building which will provide residential care for acute admissions and complex clinical care patients.\u00a0\u00a0Work on this will run in parallel with the Greenock project.<\/p>\n

Bruce Dickson, Regional Director<\/a>, BAM Construction said: \u201cThese are complex buildings and it\u2019s taken us several years of working with our consultants, hub West and the NHS to make sure that the design of these projects achieves all of the NHS\u2019s objectives for 21st Century healthcare provision. Our team is now really looking forward to getting construction started.<\/p>\n

“We have a very good track record of delivering projects for NHS<\/a> Greater Glasgow and Clyde so these are important healthcare projects for us to grow that legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n
