{"id":52399,"date":"2019-02-12T10:59:45","date_gmt":"2019-02-12T10:59:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=52399"},"modified":"2019-04-15T15:20:09","modified_gmt":"2019-04-15T14:20:09","slug":"rics-housing-young-homeless","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/rics-housing-young-homeless\/52399\/","title":{"rendered":"RICS: Five more housing projects for the young homeless"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rics.org\/uk\/\">RICS<\/a>\u00a0in partnership with<a href=\"https:\/\/www.landaid.org\/\"> LandAid<\/a>\u00a0is to deliver 29 more bed spaces across five housing projects for young people facing homelessness in the North and Midlands, Scotland and Northern Ireland<\/h2>\n<p>The campaign, known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rics.org\/uk\/news-insight\/latest-news\/rics-150th-anniversary\/pledge150-pledge-to-end-youth-homelessness\/\">Pledge150<\/a>, was launched as part of RICS&#8217; 150th anniversary activities last year, and has since delivered more homes for the young homeless across the UK, by raising funds for charities that renovate or refurbish properties for vulnerable young people.<\/p>\n<p>Companies such as Alsop, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curriebrown.com\/\">Currie &amp; Brown<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.knightfrank.com\/\">Knight Frank<\/a>, Gleeds, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geraldeve.com\/\">Gerald Eve<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.turnerandtownsend.com\/\"> Turner &amp; Townsend<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasalle.com\/\">LaSalle Investment<\/a> have all got behind the Pledge150 campaign, raising funds through various initiatives including sporting and cycling challenges, Sleep Outs, tours of historic buildings and corporate dinners.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile companies have donated generous funds, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.morson.com\/\">Morson Group<\/a> contributing \u00a315,000, whilst Deloitte raised and donated an impressive \u00a330,000 towards the campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Howell, RICS Managing Director, UK &amp;
