North East<\/h2>\n<p>Phil McDowell joined Kier as a contracts manager in 2013 and has been responsible for the successful delivery of a number of high-profile projects, including several award-winning, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/northstowe-education-campus\/50063\/\">state-of-the art schools<\/a> and heritage facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Brian McQuade, Managing Director of Kier Construction Scotland and North East said: \u201cPhil\u2019s talents were recognised through his ability to effectively deliver key projects in a collaborative manner with external and internal stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is a huge asset, not only to Kier Construction, but to the various clients, consultants and suppliers that he works in partnership with.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Phil McDowell added: \u201cI\u2019m delighted to join the Board and take up this new role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting time for Kier Construction as we continue to operate effectively in our chosen markets and have recently secured over \u00a3100m of new contracts in our business unit in the last few months alone and I look forward to working with the Board and teams across this country to deliver this pipeline of work.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mk-custom-module-container\">\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Phil McDowell of Kier Construction Scotland has been promoted to operations director and will join the board of directors for Kier Construction Scotland &#038;
