Hudson Contract<\/a> is shining a light on the Construction Industry Helpline available to freelance tradespeople and their families suffering from mental health or financial problems<\/h2>\n

The construction supplier is working with the Lighthouse Club<\/a> to draw attention to the charity\u2019s Construction Industry Helpline and mental health app throughout its industry network.<\/p>\n

Hudson will publish an advert for the Lighthouse Club\u2019s Construction Industry Helpline on the back of 28,000 paper tax statements being posted this week. The advert will be visible to a further 23,000 people on the company\u2019s online subcontractor portal.<\/p>\n

The helpline provides a 24\/7 safety net for all construction workers and their families, offering advice on welfare and mental wellbeing<\/a>, emergency financial aid and support on legal, tax and debt management matters.<\/p>\n

The Lighthouse Club launched its mental health app at the end of last year, providing essential information and guidance on issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, anger and suicidal thoughts.<\/p>\n

Ian Anfield, managing director of Hudson Contract, said: \u201cEveryone knows someone who has been affected by mental ill health and will understand how important it is that help is available whenever and wherever someone needs it.<\/p>\n

Last year, the helpline supported\u00a01,662\u00a0families in crisis and delivered nearly \u00a31.5m in emergency financial aid.<\/p>\n

With two construction workers taking their own life every single working day, it\u2019s vital that no worker ever feels alone in a crisis.<\/p>\n
