{"id":57421,"date":"2019-05-23T09:41:39","date_gmt":"2019-05-23T08:41:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=57421"},"modified":"2019-05-23T09:41:39","modified_gmt":"2019-05-23T08:41:39","slug":"homes-england-deliver-homes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/homes-england-deliver-homes\/57421\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00a355m Homes England fund to deliver 4,000 homes"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Homes England has agreed \u00a355m of funding deals with 12 local authorities to deliver 4,000 homes across England<\/h2>\n<p>The funding totalling \u00a355m has been awarded through the government\u2019s \u00a3450m Local Authority Accelerated Construction (LAAC) and will support local authorities with a range of work required to prepare their sites for the development of new homes such as infrastructure enabling works, planning and technical expertise and site remediation.<\/p>\n<p>The LAAC programme prioritises the use of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/modular-construction-news\/rics-report-mmc\/56231\/\">modern methods of construction<\/a>, which will increase the pace of delivery across the developments by an average of 40%.<\/p>\n<p>The funding will be used to kick start the development of 4,000 new homes across England, including 1,400 at a 400-acre site at Horton Heath, Eastleigh. Eastleigh Borough Council purchased the site in 2018 and the development will benefit from \u00a320.8m of LAAC funding to accelerate the delivery of a mix of one, two, three and four bedroom homes, including a minimum of 30% <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/modular-construction-news\/offsite-construction-affordable-housing\/56383\/\">affordable housing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>The announcement includes deals with local authorities from across England:<\/h3>\n<h4>North:<\/h4>\n<p>City of York Council, Gateshead Council, Newcastle City Council, Pendle Borough Council<\/p>\n<h4>South:<\/h4>\n<p>Eastleigh Borough Council, Medway Council, Dorset Council<\/p>\n<h4>Midlands:<\/h4>\n<p>Leicestershire County Council, High Peak Borough Council, City of Lincoln Council<\/p>\n<h4>East:<\/h4>\n<p>Borough Council of King\u2019s Lynn &amp;
