Kier has been appointed to the North Wales Construction Framework 2, which has a combined value of \u00a3500m to deliver projects valued at \u00a310m+<\/h2>\n

This construction framework is owned by the six North Wales Local Authorities of Denbighshire, Conwy, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Wrexham and Anglesey. It places community benefits<\/a> at its core by developing local supply chains, improving the built environment, creating sustainable buildings<\/a> and delivering added value with targeted investment in employment, apprenticeships and training.<\/p>\n

The framework will commence imminently and run for four years.<\/p>\n

Peter Commins, managing director at Kier<\/a>, commented: \u201cWe are thrilled to have won a place on Lot 5 of the North Wales Construction Framework 2. Since its inception, the Construction Framework partnership has performed brilliantly by working collaboratively to deliver a number of key projects in the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe look forward to building on successes from the previous framework where we are currently delivering Connah\u2019s Quay High School, Flintshire and Christ the Word Catholic School, Denbighshire.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gary Williams, Denbighshire County Council<\/a>\u2019s head of legal, HR, & democratic services, said: \u201cThis framework will have a positive impact in North Wales by creating new facilities for public use, including new schools, which will create jobs in the construction sector, improve educational attainment, provide opportunity for community involvement and engagement and help promote a vibrant culture and the Welsh language.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe framework places importance on delivering the greatest benefit from the investment made ensuring there is a positive impact on local communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis framework ensures that local businesses, where possible, benefit from the investment being made in North Wales.\u201d<\/p>\n
