Former estimating and sector director at SES Engineering Services, Mike Smith, has joined engineering body, the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA<\/a>)<\/h2>\n

Mike Smith joins the Electrical Contractors Association as director of technical.<\/p>\n

Smith previously held a variety of commercial roles at SES Engineering Services<\/a> over the past 25 years.<\/p>\n

From 2017 to 2018, Smith was also ECA President, driving forward the interests of the sector, by helping it face the challenges of Brexit, unfair payment practices<\/a> and skills shortages.<\/p>\n

Mike Smith, new ECA director of technical, said: \u201cI am delighted to be joining ECA in this exciting role, having supported the association in various capacities over the past 20 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am looking forward to using my industry knowledge to help ECA Members grow their businesses and navigate the challenging commercial environment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Steve Bratt, ECA CEO, commented: \u201cHaving Mike Smith on the team further cements ECA\u2019s strong leadership team. Mike\u2019s extensive knowledge, experience and expertise will help ECA power ahead and lead the electrotechnical and engineering services industry to success.\u201d<\/p>\n

Smith takes over from Steve Martin in his new role.<\/p>\n

Bratt, added: \u201cOn behalf of ECA, I would like to warmly thank Steve Martin for the instrumental work he has done for ECA, its Members and the wider industry during his tenure.\u201d<\/p>\n

ECA\u2019s technical team also includes Gary Parker, Luke Osborne and Darren Smith, as well a range of specialist associates, who collectively have expertise covering a range of electrotechnical disciplines, including electrical, energy, fire and security, smart buildings and data communications.<\/p>\n
