Helen Gordon, chief executive of Grainger has been appointed as president of the British Property Federation<\/a> (BPF)<\/h2>\n

Helen Gordon succeeds Robert Noel, chief executive of Landsec<\/a>, who stood down as president at the BPF\u2019s annual Summer Reception.<\/p>\n

The BPF has appointed Guy Grainger, EMEA chief executive of JLL<\/a> as its new junior vice-president.<\/p>\n

Grainger will take over the junior vice-president role from Argent<\/a> managing partner David Partridge, who becomes the BPF\u2019s vice-president.<\/p>\n

Melanie Leech, chief executive of the British Property Federation, commented: \u201cHelen has been a member of our presidential team for the past two years and I look forward to working with her this year as president to further improve understanding among our key stakeholders of the property sector\u2019s social value<\/a>, and our positive impact on the quality of people\u2019s lives across the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the BPF\u2019s new junior vice-president, Guy\u2019s experience and current role working across EMEA will bring a valuable breadth of perspective to the leadership of the BPF.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese appointments, with David completing the presidential team, will ensure the BPF retains and enhances its reputation as the voice of UK property.\u201d<\/p>\n

Helen Gordon, added: \u201cI am honoured to take on the role of BPF president and my focus over the next year is enhancing the recognition of our sector\u2019s contribution to society and the understanding of our contribution to people\u2019s lives and the communities we serve.\u00a0This provides continuity with last year\u2019s presidential theme and reflects the importance of this issue for our industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur industry, in common with others, is being increasingly scrutinised and challenged to demonstrate that it is having a net positive impact on society. The physical connection we have to people\u2019s lives \u2013 the importance of the physical environment to people\u2019s health and wellbeing \u2013 means the property sector not only has a particular responsibility but also a huge opportunity to demonstrate its credentials.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to working together with the BPF executive team to improve our industry\u2019s perception \u2013 one that is seen as a true partner to Government and one that underpins national objectives and local community aspirations.\u201d<\/p>\n
