Lendlease has announced that Claire Pettett, who has over 11 years of experience within the company, will take on the role of executive general manager in London from the end of July<\/h2>\n

Claire Pattett will play a vital role in developing Lendlease\u2019s<\/a> pipeline of construction work within the capital. The company is behind some of the largest and most exciting projects in London including the construction of Google\u2019s landmark new headquarters\u2019 in King\u2019s Cross, and Bishopsgate Plaza, which will be the first high-rise residential and hospitality development built in the City of London in many years.<\/p>\n

Claire brings a wealth of knowledge of the way Lendlease operates to her new role, and her career with the company so far has seen her work across a wide variety of roles in both development and construction. She was part of the team that launched the first new homes and offices on the major developments at Elephant Park<\/a> and International Quarter London, and Claire moves to her new role from the position of executive general manager finance for the construction business.<\/p>\n

Describing her new role, Claire Pettett said: \u201cI am very proud to be part of this business and excited for the opportunity to work with a team that has such a strong track record building major and complex schemes in the heart of one of the world\u2019s greatest cities.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy job will be to help us continue to build our business within London on the very strong foundations that have been put in place. I have a real passion for developing talent, and as a woman working in what is regarded as a male-dominated industry, I hope my progression can play a role in inspiring other women<\/a> to consider a career in construction.\u201d<\/p>\n

Claire Pettett is replacing Alan Bates who has taken on a new role within Lendlease\u2019s Italian business, where he is the programme director.<\/p>\n

Neil Martin, COO for Lendlease Europe, said: \u201cClaire brings a huge amount of knowledge and experience of different aspects of our business to her new role. I know that she will make a significant contribution to the team at a really exciting time to be focussed on our projects in London.\u201d<\/p>\n
