After successful work on Manchester Airport Pier One and Link Bridge, Prater<\/a> has been appointed to deliver another complete envelope package to the airport\u2019s new Terminal Two<\/h2>\n

Expected to be completed in 2023, the \u00a31bn expansion of Manchester Airport should increase check-in speed as well as the speed of security checks, increasing footfall from 27 million to 45 million over a 10 to 15 year programme period.<\/p>\n

Prater began work in November 2017 to deliver a full envelope package for the Pier One and Link Bridge project \u2013 which included the design, supply and installation of the roofing, glazing, cladding and soffits.<\/p>\n

Since then the contract has been fulfilled and handed over to the end client, and now Prater has once again been appointed to deliver another full envelope package for the new Terminal Two building.<\/p>\n

The scope of works includes the design, supply and installation of a standing seam roof, a blast enhanced fa\u00e7ade, an acoustic fa\u00e7ade, and composite cladding.<\/p>\n

Chris Leach, infrastructure lead at Prater, said: \u201cWe are thrilled to carry out further works on this flagship project.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis ethos has allowed us to pre-plan and schedule works strategically, ensuring safety and quality on-site and avoiding costly project delays<\/a>. It\u2019s this detailed experience in the aviation sector and our successful work on the Pier One and Link Bridge that enables us to provide quality and consistency to our clients, project after project.\u201d<\/p>\n
