{"id":61389,"date":"2019-08-07T11:04:46","date_gmt":"2019-08-07T10:04:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=61389"},"modified":"2019-08-07T11:04:46","modified_gmt":"2019-08-07T10:04:46","slug":"new-build-housing-schemes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/new-build-housing-schemes\/61389\/","title":{"rendered":"Contractors sought for new build housing schemes"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.efficiencynorth.org\/procure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EN:Procure<\/a> is seeking experienced and qualified contractors to bid for a place on their new framework to deliver affordable and mixed tenure new build housing schemes<\/h2>\n<p>The affordable and mixed tenure new build housing schemes will be for social housing landlords that are predominantly within Yorkshire and Humber.<\/p>\n<p>The scope of works undertaken via the framework agreement will include site preparation, site remediation, associated civil engineering and infrastructure works, design, new build construction, refurbishment and the development of various property types.<\/p>\n<p>The new affordable and mixed tenure new build housing schemes framework has an anticipated maximum value of \u00a3340m.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to an EU compliant procurement route, it will offer a leading-edge supply chain for Efficiency North\u2019s social housing landlord members, who own and manage more than 80% of the social housing stock within the region. It will also be instrumental in the success of EN\u2019s strategy to support social mobility in the communities of member landlords by boosting local training and employment opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>The framework has been flexibly structured to increase the number of opportunities available regardless of contractors\u2019 size or location, and is divided into the following 4 Lots:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lot 1 Schemes up to a maximum of 10 units<\/li>\n<li>Lot 2 Schemes of between 8 and 35 units<\/li>\n<li>Lot 3 Schemes of between 30 and 85 units<\/li>\n<li>Lot 4 Schemes of 70 units and over.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Emma Mottram, EN:Procure head of operations, said: \u201cThe new framework presents a huge opportunity for us to create much needed high quality homes to help alleviate the current social <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/housing-crisis-government-action\/56521\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">housing crisis<\/a> and regenerate local communities across our region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s one of the next generation of EN:Procure\u2019s intelligent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/building-control-news\/framework-providers-lhc-frameworks\/44018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">procurement solutions<\/a> and presents a huge opportunity for local contractors.
