{"id":62007,"date":"2019-08-21T15:08:05","date_gmt":"2019-08-21T14:08:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=62007"},"modified":"2019-08-21T15:08:05","modified_gmt":"2019-08-21T14:08:05","slug":"interserve-wins-p22-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/interserve-wins-p22-framework\/62007\/","title":{"rendered":"Interserve wins P22 contract with NHS Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.interserve.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Interserve<\/a> has been selected to deliver major multiple projects as part of the estates&#8217; infrastructure improvement programme for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stgeorges.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">St George&#8217;s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust<\/a> in South London<\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0contract, which was procured under the <a href=\"https:\/\/procure22.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ProCure 22<\/a> Framework, will include a number of major and minor works across the Trust\u2019s estate and will be delivered under NEC 3 contract, with \u00a35.9m of works already agreed and a further \u00a315.45m of works anticipated.<\/p>\n<p>ProCure22 (P22) is a construction procurement framework administrated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-of-health-and-social-care\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Health &amp; Social Care<\/a> for the development and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/nhs-services-get-funding-boost-for-building-modernisation\/39933\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delivery of NHS<\/a> and Social Care capital schemes in England.<\/p>\n<p>The project represents the first major framework delivered by the collaboration of Interserve Construction Group and its subsidiary companies, Paragon, the fit-out specialist, and Interserve Engineering Services. It is the first combined P21\/22 scheme secured by Interserve in London and the south-east.<\/p>\n<p>The works will be delivered in partnership with cost consultants, <a href=\"https:\/\/gb.gleeds.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gleeds<\/a>; mechanical and electrical design consultants, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tbanda.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Troup Bywaters + Anders<\/a>; structural engineers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomasons.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thomasons<\/a>; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.st-arch.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sonnemann Toon, Architects<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Trust is the main provider of local and specialist services for southwest London, Surrey and beyond, and provides a range of supra-regional services such as cardiothoracic surgery, neurosciences and renal transplantation.<\/p>\n<p>Current projects scheduled include a new centralised chilled water system for the Lanesborough Wing; site-wide upgrades of substations and UPS systems, services upgrades for the Grosvenor, Lanesborough and St James\u2019 Wings; and fire compliance works across the Tooting site.<\/p>\n<p>The works are a key component of the Trust\u2019s plans to transform and modernise the existing St George\u2019s Hospital Tooting site, improving the existing infrastructure (particularly in respect of water, electrical and ventilation) to offer 21st Century healthcare and respond to the requirements of the local patient population in the long term.<\/p>\n<p>Works are scheduled to begin in August 2019.<\/p>\n<p>George Franks, Interserve construction managing director, said: \u201cThis is a significant contract win for Interserve and an excellent example of our strategy to facilitate collaboration across our divisions to deliver consistent, robust operational performance for customers like St George&#8217;s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking together, Interserve Construction, Paragon and Interserve Engineering Services can harness our capabilities across a range of construction disciplines to deliver a holistic solution to customers.
