AmeySRM<\/strong>, a joint venture between Amey<\/a> and Sir Robert McAlpine<\/a> will begin the transformation of a key motorway junction in Cheshire next year<\/h2>\n

Junction 19 of the M6<\/a> near Knutsford is to benefit from a \u00a343mn overhaul, with a new bridge through the existing roundabout and over the M6, creating a better flow between the motorway and the A556.\u00a0<\/p>\n

These improvements aim to speed up journeys and reduce congestion, providing a free-flow link from the Knutsford and Bowdon bypass onto the southbound M6. There will also be improvements for pedestrians and cyclists.<\/p>\n

AmeySRM was selected by Highways England<\/a> to deliver the scheme. They are one of 13 companies \u2013 known as Delivery Integration Partners (DIP) \u2013 who are currently working on 18 packages of projects, including the J19 scheme.<\/p>\n

Robert Allen, framework partnership director at Amey Sir Robert McAlpine, said: \u201cWe are delighted to have been selected to deliver the transformation of Junction 19 of the M6 through the Routes to Market Regional Delivery Partnership.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur collaborative approach to delivering this scheme forms part of a comprehensive upgrade of Manchester\u2019s southern access, creating better journeys for those using this road network.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amey and Sir Robert McAlpine were the first delivery integration team to jointly enter a Collaboration Charter with the whole supply chain to deliver value to clients and customers.<\/p>\n

Amey is also responsible for maintaining the road network across the East Midlands on behalf of Highways England and is the provider for the Area 10 contract delivering highways maintenance services across the North West which mobilised in April this year.<\/p>\n
