For complete creative freedom, bespoke fibre cement panels in almost any RAL colour can also be manufactured for orders over 50m\u00b2.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Fa\u00e7ade fire performance<\/h3>\r\n<p>Fire performance is a major consideration when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wienerberger.co.uk\/products\/facades\/svk-fibre-cement-product-page.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">selecting a fa\u00e7ade system<\/a> for new build or retrofit projects. UK Building Regulations demand that only fire rated cladding is installed on buildings above 18 metres in height (or 11 metres in Scotland).<\/p>\r\n<p>Cladding products are subjected to rigorous testing to achieve their fire rating, comparing ignitability, smoke production and heat release amongst other criteria.<\/p>\r\n<p>Fibre cement as a material will not fuel a fire within a building or ignite when exposed to flames. Under the BS EN 13501-1 standard, Wienerberger\u2019s SVK fibre cement fa\u00e7ade panels achieve a Euroclass fire rating of A2 s1, d0. Breaking down this classification, \u201cA2\u201d means that the product is non-combustible, \u201cs1\u201d signifies that little or no smoke is created, with \u201cd0\u201d indicating that no flaming droplets or particles are produced. An A2 rating is an industry standard for high quality cladding products in the market.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Third-party accreditation\u00a0<\/h3>\r\n<p>The SVK fibre cement fa\u00e7ade solution has also been independently accredited by the third-party Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT), who perform testing for weather tightness, impact resistance and more at their certified facility where they replicate the most extreme conditions that can be inflicted on buildings. The SVK range also conforms to the BS EN 12467 standard for Fibre Cement Flat Sheets \u2013 Product Specification and Tests, as well as meeting the performance criteria of a European Technical Assessment (ETA14\/0284).<\/p>\r\n<p>As a fa\u00e7ade product with longevity and durability, SVK fibre cement panels hold a 30-year design life guarantee, with no risk of shrinkage, warping and cracking once installed. Another cost-saving benefit of the solution is that it is very low maintenance, with in-built resistance to mould, rot and bacteria. SVK panels can be freshened up with water and the option of a mild detergent, no specialist chemicals or processes required.
