A planning application has been submitted to Salford City Council<\/a> for a 280-apartment development at the centre of MediaCityUK<\/h2>\n

Developer Glenbrook<\/a>, working in partnership with Peel L&P<\/a>, has submitted a planning application for a \u00a370m MediaCity UK apartment development.<\/p>\n

The scheme will be delivered on behalf of Latimer<\/a>, Clarion Housing Group\u2019s development arm and has been designed by Sheppard Robson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The project is located on the surface car park adjacent to Booths food store and will range in height from 14 to 17 storeys.<\/p>\n

The \u00a370m apartment development will provide a mix of one, two and three-bed apartments with residents\u2019 facilities, a gym and retail.<\/p>\n

Ian Sherry, director at Glenbrook, said: \u201cThis is the third scheme Glenbrook has delivered with Peel L&P and the first of more developments we plan to deliver with the team at Latimer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe scheme\u2019s location on one of the best sites in the internationally recognised MediaCityUK development<\/a> will undoubtedly be very popular with future residents.<\/p>\n

\u201cSubject to planning approval, we will commence construction in early summer 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richard Cook, Clarion group director of development, commented: “We are extremely pleased to be playing a big part in the continuing success story of Salford and this deal further underlines our commitment to the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing part of the country\u2019s largest affordable housing provider means Latimer has both the capacity and skills to deliver new homes at scale across the region. We are already on course to build a total of 552 new homes in Salford<\/a>, but we are ambitious to do much more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stephen Wild, managing director of MediaCityUK, added: \u201cIt is great to be working on another scheme in partnership with Glenbrook and we are very pleased to welcome Clarion to the MediaCityUK community.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis development further demonstrates that MediaCityUK is a thriving place to live, with a wide range of bars and restaurants, shopping at The Lowry Outlet as well as a lively cultural scene with the presence of The Lowry. Excellent transport links adds to the convenience factor.\u201d<\/p>\n

MediaCityUK is a joint venture partnership between Peel L&P and Legal and General Capital.<\/p>\n
