Mace<\/a> has launched a next generation construction method, High Rise Solutions (HRS), to transform the way we build in the UK<\/h2>\n

A launch event and live onsite demonstration of the High Rise Solutions method will be held at Get Living\u2019s N06 East Village in Stratford today (5 December).<\/p>\n

High Rise Solutions is an evolution of the thinking behind Mace\u2019s \u2018Jump Factory\u2019, used to deliver Get Living\u2019s project at Victory Plaza, East Village. The method combines digital technology<\/a> with a new offsite manufacturing<\/a> approach to construct buildings faster, safer and to a higher quality.<\/p>\n

HRS is able to reduce the design and construction process by 25%, vehicle movements by 40% and waste by 70%. This reduces the client\u2019s financial costs and homes can be delivered quickly and with less disruption to local communities.<\/p>\n

Following the success of \u2018Jump Factory\u2019, Mace has worked with Australian firm, Hickory<\/a>, to adapt its building system for construction in the UK. Using parametric modelling tools and artificial intelligence<\/a>, High Rise Solutions is able to draw from a catalogue of components to design and manufacture the structure and fa\u00e7ade sub-assemblies offsite.<\/p>\n

Speed up delivery of N06 East Village<\/h3>\n

Following a pilot scheme at a major London construction project, the HRS system is now being used by Mace to construct N06, a build to rent scheme in East Village, the former London 2012 Athletes\u2019 Village. Mace is delivering the project on behalf of Get Living<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Split across two towers of 26 and 31 stories, the project will deliver 524 new homes.<\/p>\n

The technology will allow Mace to significantly shorten the construction programme by 18 weeks with 20% fewer workers onsite compared to a traditional building approach. The construction of N06 is well underway with four floors already built across each of the two towers.<\/p>\n

Mark Reynolds, chief executive of Mace, said: \u201cUnless we radically rethink how we build, we will never be able to deliver the housing and infrastructure that is desperately needed across the UK while reducing our carbon footprint<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAvailability of smart data is essential to radically change our industry. Mace Tech will allow us to harness the latest digital technologies and offsite construction methods to create better buildings. HRS is already helping to deliver housing faster with less waste and reduce carbon emissions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rick de Blaby, CEO of Get Living, said: \u201cOur collaboration with Mace goes back to Victory Plaza, where we launched 480 new homes this summer. N06 is the next part of Get Living\u2019s East Village journey, delivering a further 524 homes and taking us to 2,500 homes to rent in E20.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
