Everton Football Club<\/a> has revealed it is ready to submit a planning application for a new football stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock in Liverpool<\/h2>\n

The new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock will form part of Peel L&Ps Liverpool Waters \u00a35.5bn development<\/a>.<\/p>\n

More than 43,000 people took part in Everton\u2019s second stage consultation, bringing the total number of responses to 63,000.<\/p>\n

A detailed planning application for the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock will be submitted on Monday 23 December.<\/p>\n

This will be followed by an outline application for a legacy project at Goodison Park, with the intention for both applications to be determined by Liverpool City Council at the same time.<\/p>\n

Design considerations for the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock<\/h3>\n

Working alongside its design consultants, Everton has analysed feedback to enhance the concepts it\u2019s already shared for the look, feel and layout of a stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, including plans to not only preserve but to also celebrate the site\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n

The planning application for a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock will give the nature of the site, and will address the many site-specific issues relating not only to the historic designation but to the legacy of the site, including ground conditions, ecology and accessibility.<\/p>\n

The next step is for Liverpool City Council<\/a> to review and process the application, which will take time due to the scale of the submission, before starting their formal consultation period.<\/p>\n

Everton says it has worked closely with the Liverpool Planning Authority and Historic England<\/a> to shape the application and ensure the required detail is included to enable our proposals to be appropriately considered.<\/p>\n

Final stadium proposals<\/h3>\n

The results of that consultation made it clear Dan Meis\u2019 design<\/a> was well received. People really loved the use of brick, the steepness of the stands, the respect to the area\u2019s heritage and the nod to Archibald Leitch\u2019s architecture in the brickwork as well as the blending of new and old.<\/p>\n

As the site is a former dock, Everton has identified all the heritage assets including cobbles, capstones, mooring posts and former tram lines and how it can incorporate them into the plans.<\/p>\n

It has also identified areas that will require remediation works.<\/p>\n

There is a plan to repair and preserve the dock walls under the stadium, retain the water channel to maintain the interconnectivity of the docks and preserve and restore the hydraulic tower to bring it back into public use.<\/p>\n

Bramley-Moore Dock is a naturally exposed site so Everton has been looking at ways of using the elements to lessen any negative impact they may have on the playing and visitor experience. The football club has put the concept designs through rigorous wind, acoustic and pedestrian modelling and has included additional measures that will be seen in our final proposals.<\/p>\n

A pedestrian modelling study has ensured that final designs create accessible, inclusive, welcoming and exciting spaces for all.<\/p>\n

Everton\u2019s stadium development director Colin Chong, commented: \u201cI\u2019m pleased to confirm that our detailed planning application for a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock will be submitted on Monday 23 December.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe opinions, ideas and observations we received through the consultation process have been used by the project team to inform our final proposals.<\/p>\n

Chong added: \u201cWe have been able to highlight the overwhelming support we have received and how this transformational project could deliver a \u00a31bn boost to our economy, create the potential for up to 15,000 new jobs and attract 1.4m new visitors to our region annually.\u201d<\/p>\n
