A 25-storey residential tower in Birmingham has been completed \u2013 making it the city\u2019s largest purpose-built private rented housing development<\/h2>\n

The residential tower in Birmingham, Allegro at Exchange Square, is adjacent to the new HS2 terminal<\/a> and offers 603 high-quality apartments built exclusively for rent.<\/p>\n

A mix of studios and one, two and three-bedroom homes are provided across three buildings, joined by a private 20,000 sq ft landscaped roof garden and a 5,000 sq ft \u2018resident\u2019s hub\u2019 that includes a concierge, members\u2019 club-style lounge, parcel lockers and state-of-the-art ‘wellness centre\u2019.<\/p>\n

The tower contains 296 homes and has just been completed, with the first five floors of the phased release \u2013 totalling 56 apartments \u2013 now available to rent, including the penthouse floors.<\/p>\n

Rents at Allegro at Exchange Square start at \u00a3690 per month and include access to all shared spaces, use of a bespoke residents’ app and round-the-clock hotel-style concierge.<\/p>\n

Allegro residential tower<\/h3>\n

On the ground floor of Allegro there is 30,000 sq ft of prime retail\/leisure space that opens onto new landscaped public realm creating an \u2018urban village\u2019 feel.<\/p>\n

The scheme, developed by Nikal and funded by LaSalle Investment Management<\/a>, launched the first phase in April this year and sits as part of Nikal’s wider Exchange Square regeneration.<\/p>\n

Andrew Stanford, head of UK residential at LaSalle Investment Management, said: “The completion of the tallest tower<\/a> at Allegro is a landmark not only for LaSalle but also Birmingham. High quality, well located, homes designed specifically for long-term rent at an accessible price will be crucial to supporting the city’s long term growth by helping attract and retain talent through offering graduates and young professionals flexible yet secure housing with an unrivalled level of customer service.”<\/p>\n

Nigel Bosworth, director at Savills<\/a>, commented: “The initial response from residents has been overwhelmingly positive and we\u2019re looking forward to welcoming yet more people to Allegro.<\/p>\n
