{"id":69785,"date":"2020-01-08T12:52:46","date_gmt":"2020-01-08T12:52:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=69785"},"modified":"2020-01-08T12:52:46","modified_gmt":"2020-01-08T12:52:46","slug":"modular-homes-at-wirral-waters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/mmc-news\/modular-homes-at-wirral-waters\/69785\/","title":{"rendered":"First wave of modular homes at Wirral Waters get the go-ahead"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>30 modular homes at Wirral Waters have received the green light from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wirral.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wirral Council<\/a> planners, making it the first phase of a \u00a355m deal to build 347 new homes to receive backing<\/h2>\n<p>The 30 new modular homes at Wirral Waters are part of the joint venture between <a href=\"https:\/\/peellandp.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peel L&amp;P<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urbansplash.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Urban Splash<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Planning consent includes\u00a0the customisable Town House from House by Urban Splash, which will launch for sale next spring.<\/p>\n<p>Planning has also been granted for the first\u00a0Row House homes, the newest product in the House by Urban Splash modular portfolio. Row House has been designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shedkm.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shedkm<\/a> and will be unveiled to the market in 2020.<\/p>\n<h3>Modular homes at Wirral Waters<\/h3>\n<p><em>House by Urban Splash<\/em>\u00a0is a new company,\u00a0which creates homes using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/tag\/modern-methods-of-construction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">modern methods of construction<\/a>. It is owned by Urban Splash, in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sekisuihouse-global.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sekisui House<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/homes-england\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Homes England<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Town House and Row House are just two of the House by Urban Splash types which will be on offer as part of the planned\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/modular-construction-news\/modular-homes-wirral-waters-2\/59546\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">347 modular,\u00a0factory-built\u00a0homes<\/a> for the East Float area of Wirral Waters.<\/p>\n<p>All of the modular homes at Wirral Waters will be customisable by purchasers before being manufactured offsite in the House by Urban Splash modular factory and delivered to site.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Mawdsley, director of development at Peel L&amp;P, said: \u201cEast Float will be a huge draw for those wanting to take advantage of the very latest in modular housing design and I am delighted that the first wave of this development has now been approved by Wirral Council.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting start for this area of the development, which will be delivered in phases.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis project will not only provide much-needed housing for the area but it will transform the brownfield site into a highly contemporary, internationally recognised waterside residential quarter for families, individuals and couples alike.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Falkingham MBE, who co-founded Urban Splash, added: \u201cThis new residential quarter is an exciting transformation for Merseyside and we\u2019re delighted to be contributing to this emerging neighbourhood, bringing a wide choice of modern, innovative new homes for people to live in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to launching Town House for sale and unveiling the new Row House product \u2013 a typology that\u2019s being delivered in Merseyside before anywhere else.
