John Sisk & Son<\/a> has begun construction on the \u00a3151m West India Dock Road scheme which will include London\u2019s tallest Premier Inn hotel<\/h2>\n

Contractor John Sisk<\/a> has started work on the 82 West India Dock Road for developer Rockwell<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The \u00a3151m project will mark Westferry as a destination and regenerate the formerly derelict site.<\/p>\n

The new mixed-use scheme, which sits between West India Dock and Limehouse Causeway, was granted planning permission in October 2018 by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A gateway to Canary Wharf<\/h3>\n

Rockwell will create the landmark scheme at Canary Wharf which will also include a restaurant, caf\u00e9, gym facilities and a landscaped pocket park, alongside communal gardens for new residents.<\/p>\n

Designed by architects SimpsonHaugh<\/a>, the 30-storey West India Dock Road mixed-use development is a gateway to Canary Wharf\u2019s central cluster.<\/p>\n

The scheme will create significant employment opportunities in the hospitality and leisure industry and will create 66 new residential properties, of which 18 will be affordable homes<\/a>, located within the same building.<\/p>\n
