Trafford Bruntwood LLP, the joint venture between Bruntwood Works<\/a> and Trafford Council<\/a>, has submitted plans for the transformation of the former Kellogg\u2019s site in Stretford, Manchester<\/h2>\n

The plans for the former Kellogg\u2019s site in Stretford include a residential-led mixed use scheme, consisting of a primary school, commercial workspace, hotel, public realm, a park and retail offerings.<\/p>\n

Civic Quarter Masterplan<\/h3>\n

The project is part of Trafford Council\u2019s wider Civic Quarter Masterplan, which covers a 120-acre site that includes the town hall, Lancashire Cricket Club<\/a>, the former Kellogg\u2019s site \u2013 including University Academy 92 (UA92) campus \u2013 stretching up to the A56\/Chester Road to White City retail park.<\/p>\n

As part of the wider Civic Quarter Masterplan, the council is set to build a new leisure centre, an improved public realm, create opportunities for new homes and offices and improve cycle and pedestrian routes.<\/p>\n

There is also the opportunity for a new public piazza and \u2018processional route\u2019 linking Lancashire Cricket Club with Manchester United\u2019s Old Trafford stadium. The strategic vision is being created with consultancy team Planit-IE, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and Avison Young.<\/p>\n

Former Kellogg\u2019s site<\/h3>\n

The proposals for the former Kellogg\u2019s site<\/a> now lay in the hands of council planners, who are expected to make a decision by spring 2020.<\/p>\n

Councillor Andrew Western, leader of Trafford Council, commented: \u201cThese plans present a fantastic opportunity to provide much-needed housing, further develop local amenities, improve community use of the area and completely transform our public spaces.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe plans aim to create a fantastic place for those who live and work here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrew Cooke, regional director for Bruntwood Works, added: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be moving forward with our vision to create a new mixed-use development at the heart of the Trafford Civic Quarter community.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are passionate about creating thriving towns and cities, working with local businesses and stakeholders to help secure economic growth in the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur partnership with Trafford Council allows us to facilitate high-quality housing and education, as well as an attractive retail and leisure proposition. Our recent consultation gave us the opportunity to engage directly with local people, discussing our proposals and gaining their feedback.<\/p>\n
