{"id":72050,"date":"2020-02-19T09:40:02","date_gmt":"2020-02-19T09:40:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=72050"},"modified":"2020-02-19T09:40:02","modified_gmt":"2020-02-19T09:40:02","slug":"energy-efficiency-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/energy-efficiency-framework\/72050\/","title":{"rendered":"68 firms secure place on \u00a3250m Energy Efficiency Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Procurement specialist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fusion21.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fusion21<\/a> has revealed the 68\u00a0successful suppliers for its \u00a3250m national Energy Efficiency Framework<\/h2>\n<p>68\u00a0specialist firms \u2013 83% of which are SMEs\u00a0\u2013 have secured a place on the Energy Efficiency Framework which has been developed to support public sector organisations to deliver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/smart-energy-grid-greenscies\/71979\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">energy efficiency<\/a> improvements to both domestic and non-domestic buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Offering\u00a0seven lots, the framework covers external and internal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/external-wall-insulation-system\/69927\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wall insulation<\/a>, the design, maintenance and installation of domestic and non-domestic solar photovoltaic systems, battery storage, electric vehicle charging points, solar carparks and LED lighting, plus cladding replacement.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Francis, director of operations at Fusion21, said:\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re committed to helping our members to achieve energy efficiency outcomes and having listened to both market and member feedback, we\u2019ve developed this flexible procurement solution to support <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/part-l-building-regulations\/69400\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sustainability goals<\/a> \u2013 including reduced carbon emissions and increased cost savings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese benefits contribute to the government\u2019s wider decarbonisation agenda and will also positively impact upon the carbon footprint of organisations, the wider environment and residents living in domestic properties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOffering access to both larger contractors and SMEs, this framework provides flexible call off options; regional coverage and will also facilitate local delivery.
