Offsite manufacturers, The McAvoy Group<\/a>, has received a multi-million pound investment from London-based special situations firm, Blantyre Capital<\/a><\/h2>\n

The investment will support the offsite manufacturers in its growth in the offsite sector. It will also finance McAvoy\u2019s ambitious expansion<\/a> programme.<\/p>\n

The McAvoy family \u2013 Orla Corr and Conor McAvoy \u2013 remain as shareholding directors and fully active in the business. The current Board will continue to be led by Mark Lowry, managing director<\/a>, and will be joined by a director from Blantyre.<\/p>\n

Adam Phillips, head of investments at Blantyre Capital, added: \u201cThe offsite sector offers enormous opportunities for transforming construction and is a sector in which we are keen to invest.<\/p>\n

Ongoing projects<\/h3>\n

Projects nearing completion for the offsite manufacturers include a new mental health assessment unit at Kingston Hospital in Surrey and the 630-pupil Paxton Academy in Croydon, which is considered one of the most challenging offsite education projects ever undertaken. In a first for a modular building, McAvoy is constructing a play area on the roof of the four-storey building, and a multi-use games area (MUGA) above the sports hall.<\/p>\n
