Project management and construction business, Larnook<\/a> has secured a contract to provide specialist labour to complete 73 modular homes in Blackburn for Places for People<\/a><\/h2>\n

The \u00a3320,000 contract will see a team of 15 workers providing specialised finishing to the facades of the modular homes in Blackburn<\/a> at both the factory and on-site.<\/p>\n

The contract will facilitate new methods of installation whilst reducing programme time.<\/p>\n

Chris Evans, managing director of Larnook, said: \u201cThis is another contract in which we have been able to demonstrate that our project management capabilities can dramatically reduce programme time whilst boosting quality.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a big safety gain by having fewer operatives on-site for a shorter period, too. By simplifying complex issues we can really help main contractors speed up delivery. We\u2019re delighted to be on board and to be working with the team from Places for People and its partners and advisors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other projects<\/h3>\n

The deal is the latest in a series of modular homes contracts Larnook has won.\u00a0 It is currently completing a scheme on Hope Street in Liverpool re-cladding student halls of residence to bring it in line with post-Grenfell standards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The business is also delivering Liverpool\u2019s first container-based retail park on\u00a0Lodge Lane<\/a>\u00a0in Toxteth for developer\u00a0CanCo.<\/p>\n

A team of contractors from Larnook is busy delivering the 14 unit development at Lodge Lane. The masterplan was drawn up by architect Alan McBeth and advisor Richard Lanyon of Lanyon Associates.<\/p>\n

The development is being marketed by local property expert Yas Alawi of New Era Property, with a preference for the easy-in, easy-out terms given to local people.<\/p>\n

This scheme is expected to complete before the Easter break.<\/p>\n
